Founder of IWPA :

Living in Malaysia and working there, I met my fellow Photographers in the late 1990s. Rights and freedom of expression were far from the same, which is why I created IWPA with Photographers Surya Ibrahim (Malay), Cristina Tan (Chinese) and Nirmala Karupia (Indian) to support them.

International Women Photographers Award 2001 to 2019

IWPA’s mission is to promote women photographers on the international scene and to act as a global platform to give them greater visibility. As part of this mission, the IWPA Prize offers a traveling exhibition, traveling to major cities and capitals in Asia, the Middle East and Europe to introduce the winner and finalists to a wide international audience through multiple professional exhibition venues.
