"To be a photographer is to see what others do not see..."
MY CONCEPTION OF THE PHOTO, reporting on women who remain my fight for +30 years through religions, genocides...
It's a game of hide and seek that goes on throughout my life. From the shade comes light and it offers me its full range of colors from the brightest to the lightest, from the warmest to the coldest. Mystery of space-time, I destined myself to blindly follow this light that became my most intimate research grounds.
Following these confluences with confidence and lightness, this beam of light that pierced me with its purity guided me through the different geographical forms of my existence and the universe.
In my work, I had to be able to overcome my fears, work on my own shadows. Fear of these shadows formed the essential part of my observations that became a work scene on which all emotions pass, play and disappear, leaving a fragile trace on a living emulsion that became a testimony, a reality of a lost time forever, and offered us the illusion of a present time. The secret of the moment is revealed, and innocence becomes communion with the whole. Another space, more comparison, everything was right, the logical continuation of an ordinary reality in a non-ordinary context.
We rarely understand the trunks we have, but those keys are just a pretext to jump from one world to another in good conscience.

Who are my clients?
My images capture sincere and true moments and I work with medical and social institutions, humanitarian associations, the press, collective artistic projects, companies (photo reports, corporate portrait...), as well as with individuals to draw their portrait.

Portrait of the photographer
The look is clear and kind.
Almost hypnotic. Yet those eyes have seen misery and drama. A look of a photographer who, rubbing long years in the harshest of realities, yet has not lost its sensibility, its humanity, quite the contrary. The images of Séverine Blanchet, like his eyes, reflecting above all the love of the other and an irrepressible desire to go to his meeting. Located a few kilometers from Toulouse, in Bonrepos Riquet, it shares her time between yoga classes and photography projects.
Because if she is a photographer above all, Séverine Blanchet is also a woman committed to the service of others and its course is marked by reports and exhibitions only through humanitarian commitments.
To integrate into the community for her reporting, she spent weeks as a caregiver with lepers in India before participating in the vaccination campaigns in Rwanda with Médecins Sans Frontières and
join Mother Theresa’s hospitals again in India, Create clowns at the hospital in Bangalore’s Karnataka province, then become a volunteer firefighter and Iyengar Yoga teacher on his return to France. From Nepal to Tibet, for many years, she multiplied the reports in images and the meetings before settling down for a few years in Malaysia and cover South West Asia with HBL.
It multiplies the exposures. One might think Séverine hyperactive to read this journey and its richness, but it is not. She is simply still in motion as are the reeds swept by the wind, smoothly and in harmony with its environment. Always guided by instinct.
